In last blog post, Yuki mentioned “Matcha Kitkat”. We both are in love with Matcha (Green Tea) Flavor. We can buy many Japanese stuff here in London. But unfortunately Matcha is not really one of them…
Matcha is very addictive. If you had once before, you know how addictive it is! So I am always thinking about Matcha flavor. Then I decided to buy Matcha powder last time I went back to Japan. (Yuki even bought more of it when she went back!) Once you have it, you can make everything Matcha flavor. Matcha latte, Matcha icecream, Matcha chocolate, Matcha bread!
Last week, I had some spare time. I was a bit bored… Then ta-da!
I baked Matcha Cockies! It looks quite greeny, isn’t it? I followed the recipe very carefully, but somehow it was too much green tea taste in it… But I loved it.
Anyways, here is a recipe of Matcha Cookie I bakes.
*Matcha (Green Tea) Soft Cookies*
6. Bake for about 10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for at least 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely hence it is quite soft when it is done.
This surely tastes different from cookies normally eaten outside of Japan. I love eating Matcha flavored sweets with a cup (or more) of green tea. Fancy cuppa with Japanese style??
And benefit from eating/drinking green tea? According to news today, it may cure (skin) cancer. At least three cups of tea a day as Huff post tells… What a piece of cake!
